What is Partnered Training?
Partnered Training is a concept that combines OFM MAIN trainers with an agency subject matter expert (SME) to present selected MAIN classroom material in a team approach. Partnered training allows the agency to tailor training to their users needs and business process. It has proven to be a very effective means for training, especially when rolling out software functionality to field staff.
What Services will OFM Provide?
OFM will provide delivery of our ADPICS, R*STARS, DCDS or MIDB courses to your agency personnel at OFM's training facility or at a pre-approved agency location. OFM provides the training environment that includes access to the MAIN Education Region, materials which coordinate with data in the system, and a trainer with skills to take the user through various online steps to complete transactions.
What will the Agency Provide?
The agency provides a SME who works with the OFM trainer to add agency-specific information during class. Generally, the OFM trainer conducts the class and the SME provides agency information during the presentation.
Another popular option calls for the SME to present segments of the class that deal with agency policy, procedures or agency-specific information. Also, the agency may wish to develop Quick Reference Guides for their personnel and provide post-classroom support for their users. Having agency staff available to answer questions immediately after a training session reinforces training concepts.
To achieve the optimum training experience, it is necessary that the OFM trainer and SME work closely in the planning stages to produce a smooth and professional delivery. During planning stages, OFM will meet with the SME and provide copies of the class slides, participation guides and handouts. The OFM trainer and SME jointly decide which concepts to present, how they will be presented and who will present. OFM will work with the agency to adapt classroom slides where possible and appropriate.
