DMB Purchasing Operations streamlined the solicitation process for MRO contracts over the past three years. These contracts cover areas such as janitorial services, rubbish removal, grounds maintenance, snow removal, and security guard services for state agencies. This statewide regional initiative has reduced the price tag of government by eliminating duplication of effort while improving the solicitation process for Michigan businesses.
MRO Janitorial Pre-Qualification Responses Currently Being Evaluated
The pre-qualification program for janitorial services has been completed for this year and proposals are currently being evaluated. Notification to bidders will be issued by the end of August 2008 and the list will be published on the State website. The next qualification period will be in the spring of 2009. Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued for each region based on the published schedule.
Note: This solicitation will not directly result in the recommendation or awarding of a contract, but rather for the evaluation and recommendation for approval of companies seeking pre-qualification status.
