Kinross Correctional Facility's building trades program built a playhouse as a raffle prize to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity.
The playhouse will be painted in Victorian colors and proceeds from the raffle will go toward Habitat building materials.
The program also provided a tractor and cart for a local playground.
“We are excited about the opportunities and challenges that the Prison Build Program offers to our career and technical education students. The entire prisoner education program is very supportive of Prison Build and is proud to play such an important role in this program,” Julie DeRose, Education Administrator said.“The play house and playground tractor are two perfect examples of the outstanding work and creativity demonstrated regularly by prisoner students and school staff.”
