Michigan Online Security Training (MOST)

What is MOST?

Michigan Online Security Training (MOST) is targeted at providing the state employees with a clear understanding of computer and Internet security risks and ways to prevent and protect from such risks. MOST will discuss various security issues related to employee use of computer and internet at work and at home along with wealth of other information. Also, various government issues, policies and regulations will be discussed.

Importance of security

As we nurture the technology to the best of our benefits, it is crucial to understand the threats and risks that it brings along the way. With the level of security threats from individual level to enterprise level, security has become everyone's responsibility. And so it is important to understand about various known security issues and keep in constant update with current security issues.

MOST Security Training Procedure

The MOST security training consists of four main categories.

and a Quiz to assess your training skills.

The training procedure involves reading and understanding the four categories of At Work, At Home, Government Laws , and Business Issues, found on the left navigation bar of this website. Clicking on each category's navigation button unfolds corresponding resources required for the training.

After mastering the information provided in these categories, assess your skills by taking the quiz that is available. The quiz provides different categories to choose from.

The State of Michigan employees can register with the quiz using their michigan.gov email address to take the quiz. Registered users have the privilege to qualify for a certificate if the quiz is passed with a sufficient score. By taking the employee-only quiz, an option to receive updates about changes to the MOST website is also available.

Non-employees can take the quiz anonymously to assess their skills.
