• Michigan Commission on Community Action and Economic Opportunity issues report, recommendations on reducing poverty
The Michigan Commission on Community Action and Economic Opportunity released a new report, Alleviating Poverty in Michigan, at a Monday morning news conference in Lansing. The report includes recommendations to Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm and the Michigan Legislature on poverty reduction methods.

• DHS Summarily Suspends the Adult Foster Care Small Group Home License of Correct Care Inc.
DHS has issued an order of summary suspension and amended notice of intent to revoke the license of a Lapeer County adult foster care home.
