DIT Formation
The Department of Information Technology (DIT) was created in October 2001 by Executive Order No. 2001-3 to achieve a unified and more cost-effective approach for managing information technology among all Executive Branch agencies.

Mission/Vision/Values
As part of the transition process, we have defined our expectations as an organization and have reaffirmed our Mission (through skilled and valued employees, the Department of Information Technology is accountable to deliver effective solutions in our partnership with our clients). Vision (DIT will deliver innovative business solutions with our partners by being a leader in developing, attracting and challenging the best talent). Values (Employees achieve personal satisfaction, career growth and respect through the creation of an environment that promotes and values).
