Board of Boiler Rules Responsibilities and Meeting Schedule

The Board of Boiler Rules was created by 1965 PA 290. The responsibilities of the board are to prescribe uniform rules for boilers; provide for the licensing of boiler inspectors, installers, and repairers; set fees for licenses, permits, inspections, and certificates; and to provide penalties for violation of the act.

The 11 board members are appointed by the governor, with the advice and consent of the senate, to serve a term of 4 years. Upon expiration of a term, a member may continue to serve until a successor is appointed.
