The Straits State Harbor in Mackinac City is is complete! This redevelopment of land once used for the ferry docks will provide an excellent opportunity for recreational boaters to enjoy the Straits area. The project uses sustainable design principles such as natural lighting and ventilation, and Michigan materials. Eight wind turbines provide a portion of the power needed to operate the Harbormaster's Building in the summer and the dock-protecting bubbler system in the winter.
