The Michigan Guard members will provide public affairs support to the international coalition forces, including U.S., Russian, Turkish, Polish, and other troops. 24 Michigan Guard Trains in California More than 300 members of Michigan's 119th Field Artillery train at the National Training Center in California from March 24 to April 12. The National Training Center, in the Mojave Dessert, is the Army's premier training area. 14 Senator Levin First Recipient of 1st Michigan Volunteer Infantry Award The first recipient of the 1st Michigan Volunteer Infantry Award is U.S. Senator Carl Levin.
