• Bear Leftover Licenses
Unsuccessful bear applicants may purchase a leftover license from any license agent or online beginning July 7 at 10 a.m. (EDT). Any licenses that remain on July 14, at 10 a.m. can be purchased by any hunter who wishes to purchase a bear license. Bear preference points will be reset to zero(0) for any hunter who purchases a leftover bear license. Leftover licenses may be purchased by Michigan residents only.

• Bear and Elk License Opportunity for Youth and Hunters with an Advanced Illness
Applicants who are successful in the bear or elk license drawings may transfer their drawing success to any unsuccessful youth applicant or to any qualified person of legal hunting age with an advanced illness.
