Bay City State Recreation Area is raising funds for a new spray park that will be the area's hottest way to cool off in the summer. Accessible for all, this much-needed addition will serve campers and the community.
Michigan State Parks and Recreation Areas will be celebrating its 90th anniversary on Saturday, June 20. Free cake and ice cream at 4 p.m. at most parks, plus fun activities for the entire family. Contact your local park for details.

Detroit's riverfront, offers access to the riverfront for anglers and trail users. This haven for urban adventurers is still a work in progress, but is an absolute must-see for anyone who loves Michigan.
Construction on Michigan's most energy-efficient harbor, Straits State Harbor (formerly Mackinaw City State Dock), is nearly complete. The facility will use wind energy to power most of the facility, with eight on-site wind turbines, and buildings engineered to use natural light whenever possible. The harbor will be open for business later this summer, with slips available for reservation shortly.
