Hartwick Pines Logging Museum is located in Hartwick Pines State Park, eight miles northeast of Grayling on M-93. From I-75, take exit 259.
Admission
Admission to the logging museum is free. A Michigan State Parks motor-vehicle permit is required for entry to the park.
2009 Season Dates and Hours
The Hartwick Pines Logging Museum is open daily from May 1 through October 31. May 1 through May 21 and September 8 to October 31, the museum is open daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Extended summer hours. From May 22 through September 7, the Hartwick Pines Logging Museum is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This site will be closed on the following days to accommodate unpaid furlough days for state employees:

How Much Time?
Please allow two hours to tour the museum exhibits and forest trail; more time, if you are attending a Swampers vintage baseball game. The park also offers camping, picnicking, biking and other seasonal activities. The ball diamond is located next to the picnic shelter.

Pets: Pets accompanied by and under the control of their human friends are welcomed on the grounds of this site. Pets may not enter any building. For further information, please refer to the DNR web page, Pets in State Park Campgrounds.
Accessibility
The visitor center and logging museum are accessible to people with a mobility impairment. The Old-Growth Forest Trail is paved but includes two steep grades. A wheelchair may be borrowed, subject to availability.
