Basic Appointments Process
During the coming months and years, Governor Granholm will be responsible for thousands of appointments. One of the responsibilities of the Appointments Division, while processing applicants is to ensure that each Board or Commission is made up of the appropriate composition of citizens comprised by Michigan law. If you are interested in serving on a Board or Commission, please download and complete the online application. When the Appointment Division begins to prepare for an appointment we will contact qualified applicants and request further information.

| Governor appoints cabinet that reflects One Michigan
Governor Granholm's appointment process resulted in what is believed to be the most diverse cabinet in the history of the state. After receiving thousands of applications from women and men around Michigan and the country, the Governor selected a group that exemplifies the core values of her administration.
