Governor Statement on Chrysler

Contact:  Liz Boyd 517-335-6397

June 10, 2009

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today issued the following statement on Chrysler:

"Today is a landmark day in Michigan and U.S. manufacturing history.  With the approval of the courts and with the participation of new partners, the management and employees of the ‘new' Chrysler can resume the business of designing, engineering, manufacturing, selling and servicing cars and trucks for customers all over the world and help lead our nation toward a new green economy.  I stand with Chrysler employees and their families in celebrating this moment."
