Social Security

Who should I contact about Social Security benefits?

As a state government official, the governor does not have the authority to intervene in federal government matters such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or other benefits granted by the U.S. Social Security Administration. However, you may contact the U.S. Social Security Administration at the number below. If you need additional assistance you can contact your U.S. Senator or U.S. Representative.

Social Security Administration phone: 1-800-772-1213 or 1-800-325-0778 (TTY)
