LANSING, February 2, 2004 – Peggy Briggs of Otter Lake experienced a little Lottery luck after matching the first five numbers in the December 23, 2003 Mega Millions drawing to win a
$175,000 prize! That day’s winning numbers were: 2, 13, 21, 22, 49 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 52.
Briggs, who declined to comment, purchased the winning Mega Millions ticket at Kessel Store # 414, 817 S. State Road, in
Davison.
Kessel store manager, Paul Wilson, said he was thrilled to learn his store sold a $175,000 Mega Millions prize.
“This is the largest prize we have ever sold,” said Wilson. “We are all very excited for the winner and hope that the fact we sold a $175,000 winning ticket will attract more players to the store.”
Wilson added that he is very happy for the customer.
“The employees enjoy selling Lottery tickets at the store,” said Wilson.
“When one of them sells a big winner, word spreads quickly through the store that a big winner was sold.
It is always very exciting!”
