Communicators Institute for National Service Grantees in Michigan

Media and marketing are powerful techniques to help your program mobilize volunteers, partners, funding, and support.  We are pleased to offer a unique training opportunity for national service program staff (AmeriCorps, Senior Corps, and Learn and Serve).  The Communicators Institute will take place on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Isabella County Commission on Aging in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

This one-day training is designed for those who are working to build public awareness and visibility in order to advance their national and community service program goals.  The Communicators Institute was created by Campaign Consultation to help national service programs hone their media skills, liven up their publications, and demonstrate impact.

Working with issue experts and peers, you will have the opportunity to explore such topics as:

·    Telling Your Story: Art and Science of Powerful Presentations

·    Web Site & Social Networking

·    Material Makeover & Branding

·    Overcoming Obstacles

·    Crafting Your Communications Action Plan

·    Shaping Your Story So It's Newsworthy
