Governor Appoints Five to Michigan Women's Commission

Governor John Engler today appointed five individuals to the Michigan Women's Commission, which works to improve the quality of life for women in the state.

Emma Bell, of Detroit, is director of public affairs at the Wayne County Commission. She replaces Dawn Koehler, of Royal Oak, whose term has expired. Bell is appointed to represent the general public.

Pat Hardy, of Bloomfield Hills, is a community activist. She is re-appointed to represent the general public.

Anne Norlander, of Battle Creek, is chair of the Michigan Women's Commission and Calhoun County Clerk and Register of Deeds. She is re-appointed to represent the general public.

Denise Radtke, of Plymouth, is the former district representative for Congressman Joe Knollenberg . She replaces Lynn Aronoff, of Royal Oak, whose term has expired. Radtke is appointed to represent the general public. Radtke replaces Lynn Aronoff, whose term expired.

Joyce A. Watts, of Allegan, is the Allegan County Clerk and Register of Deeds. She is re-appointed to represent the general public.

All terms expire July 15, 2005.
