Avalon will assist 132 households (approximately 272 persons) through the rehabilitation of 72 existing units of at-risk low-income housing. Grant funds will also be used for the creation of a housing coordinator to assist 60 homeless adults returning from prison through Avalon's prisoner re-entry program.

Community Housing Network will use grant funds for pre-development costs for a proposed Section 811 Supportive Housing project for persons with disabilities. The proposed development is for four scattered site permanent supportive rental housing units.

Eastside LAND, Inc. will acquire an existing 4-unit commercial and a 16-unit residential development known as West Village Manor. The acquisition will allow the units to stay affordable to the 22 residential tenants and four retail tenants.

Habitat for Humanity of Bay County will construct two new homes in Bay City to be owned by two very low income families. The grant will be used to purchase building materials.

Habitat for Humanity of Detroit will construct 20 new, green built homes in its Vision 2020 comprehensive community initiative currently underway in Detroit's Morningside Commons. The grant will be used for construction costs.

Habitat for Humanity of Genesee County will construct four homes as part of a three year Cities of Promise project that will result in 15 new construction homes by 2010. The grant funds will be used to purchase construction materials.

Habitat for Humanity of Kent County will rehabilitate two foreclosed homes in Grand Rapids. The homes will be rehabbed by students at the Grand Rapids Community College's Tassel m-Tec program which build or rehabs LEED certified homes. The grant will be used to purchase construction materials

Habitat for Humanity of Lansing will build three homes in the City of Lansing for very low income families. The grant funds will be used to purchase construction materials.

Habitat for Humanity of Macomb County will build one new home as part of its 2008 Women Build in the Vision 2020 Colchester revitalization initiative. The grant will be used to purchase construction materials.

Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County will construct one home in the City of Monroe with students from Monroe Public Schools Youth Educational Construction Program. The grant funds will be used to purchase construction materials.

Habitat for Humanity of Muskegon County will construct one new home in the City of Muskegon Heights to be owned by a single mother with a disability. The grant will be used for direct construction costs.

Harbor Habitat for Humanity will use the grant for pre-development costs for a proposed Phase II subdivision in Benton Charter Township. The grant will be used for infrastructure and utilities.

Housing Resources, Inc. will expand their existing rapid re-housing services targeted to homeless or precariously housed individuals and families using the Housing First model. Grant funds will be used for security deposits and housing services. HRI proposes to provide 25 security deposits, 25 housing search, placement and retention activities, and engagement of 25 landlords.

Mid Michigan CAA proposes to demolish an empty industrial building and replace it with an energy efficient 24+ unit senior housing complex in the downtown area of the City of Clare. Grant funds will be used for demolition costs, site preparation and an environmental study.

Southwest Housing Solutions will acquire a one building, 18 unit mixed use affordable and supportive housing development. Five of the 18 units will be reserved for special needs. Southwest Counseling will provide supportive services. Grant funds will also be used for pre-development costs associated with the project.

Venture Inc. will preserve a 32 unit USRD Rural Development Section 515 project serving very low to extremely low income households. The grant will be used for rehabilitation costs.

Village View Housing Partners will construct 18 units in two (2), two-story, four unit townhouse buildings and five (5) one-story duplexes located within a planned unit development in Garfield Township. The 20 year 1% loan will be used for construction costs.

West Michigan Therapy, Inc. will build eight units of permanent supportive housing with shared common area and on-site support services for chronically homeless individuals. The grant will be used for construction costs.
