July 1, 2008	257.710e	Amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to require children who are at least 4 years of age but less than 8 years of age AND who are less than 4'9" in height, to be properly restrained in a child restraint system (booster seat).
March 7, 2008	257.708b	Amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to include television or electronic device that displays a video image from list of prohibited devices capable of being viewed by operator while vehicle is in motion and excludes certain vehicles from this requirement.
November 19, 2007	257.233	Removes requirement to sign registration certificate.
December 14, 2006	257.685	Amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to specifically allow modulating headlamps on motorcycles.
November 9, 2006	257.627-629	Amends several sections of the Michigan Vehicle Code related to the setting and posting of speed limits. Increases most freeway truck speeds to 60 mph, increases minimum freeway speed to 55 mph, eliminates speed differential for school buses, eliminates definition of residence district, revises definition of business district, provides a formula for the setting of urban and suburban prima facie speed limits if no Traffic Control Order is in place.
August 15, 2006	257.612 & 660	Amends some sections of the Michigan Vehicle Code pertaining to bicycle operations on public roads and sidewalks.
August 5, 2006	PA 187	Amends several sections of the Pupil Transportation Act. Defines "clear and continuous visibility", provides the option of stopping "off" the roadway during certain hazard light stops, removes 50 mph speed limit on state trunklines and county roads, and increases freeway speed limit to 60 mph on freeways where a maximum speed of 70 mph exists. Speed limit changes are effective November 9, 2006.
May 31, 2006	750.508	Amends the Michigan Penal Code to remove the prohibition of possessing a police scanner in a vehicle. Possession of a police scanner is now prohibited regardless of location by certain felons and in the commission of a crime, but allowed under other circumstances.
December 27, 2005	324.82119	Allows snowmobiles to operate on limited access highway right-of-ways under certain circumstances and also allow access to be permanently prohibited along some roadways if certain conditions are met.
October 1, 2005	247.252a-252m	Amends several sections of the Michigan Vehicle Code related to abandoned vehicles.
July 20, 2005	257.627a	Allows for the posting of signs indicating if a school is on a 12-month schedule for purposes of enforcing a school zone speed limit.
May 19, 2005	436.2021	Allows restaurant patrons to leave the premises with a partially consumed bottle of wine if the establishment "recorks" the bottle by pushing the cork back in until it is flush with the top of the bottle. The bottle is still considered open intoxicants for the purpose of MCL 257.624a.
April 1, 2005	257.617-619	Amends several sections of the Michigan Vehicle Code dealing with traffic crash reporting requirements. Allows a driver to leave the scene to report a crash immediately to the police if remaining at the scene will result in greater harm.
October 4, 2004	257.312e	Amends several sections of the Michigan Vehicle Code. With respect to 312e requires the driver of a school bus to obtain an S endorsement on their operator license before operating a school bus. In addition, prior to September 30, 2005 an applicant for an S endorsement may be eligible to waive the skills test upon proof of certain requirements met.
July 21, 2004	257.1855	Amends the Pupil Transportation Act to revise the procedure for flashing overhead light stops by allowing the bus to pull off the roadway for certain stops where pupils are not required to cross the roadway. Also raises the maximum allowable speed limit on roadways where certain hazard light stops are permitted.
June 23, 2004	257.226	Amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to adjust the expiration dates for motorcycle registration to the owner's birthday.
June 14, 2004	257.616a	Amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to prohibit the possession or use of a traffic signal preemption device.
June 2, 2004	257.2, 257.653a	Amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to require drivers to move over one lane or slow down for wreckers and road service vehicles while on the side of the road with emergency lights activated.
May 1, 2004	257.732a	Amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to require the Secretary of State to assess "driver responsibility" fees to excessive points or certain violations.
April 8, 2004	257.79d, 601b	Amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to add the definition of a "work zone" and increases the fines and penalties for traffic violations within a work zone.
January 1, 2004	257.622	Amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to raise the property damage limit from $400 to $1000 dollars to require reporting to the police.
