M-50 resurfacing project to begin next week south of Jackson

START DATE: Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008

END DATE: Mid-November 2008

PROJECT: Starting Tuesday, work to resurface M-50 (US-127 BR/ Brooklyn Road) on the south side of the city of Jackson is scheduled to begin. The project stretches from Meridian Road, which is located just north of US-127, north to South Street. Other improvements include new curb and gutter, storm sewer work, and other miscellaneous drainage improvements.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: One lane of traffic will be maintained with flag control during daytime hours.

All work will start after the Michigan International Speedway NASCAR race weekend and will not affect race traffic.
