MDOT celebrates groundbreaking for Oakland Transportation Service Center

WHAT: A groundbreaking ceremony will be held to celebrate the start of construction for the Oakland Transportation Service Center (TSC). Upon completion, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will move 45 full-time employees to the new location, improving the department's ability to assist motorists in the Metro Region.

Vanguard Drive at Telegraph Road
3/4 mile north of M-59, in Pontiac

BACKGROUND: This $3.5 million project includes land acquisition, design and construction. Once construction is completed next year, the employees currently working at a leased building in Waterford Township will move into the new building in the city of Pontiac.
