Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, postcard in Michigan Historical Museum special exhibit, Michigan's Roadside AttractionsMichigan's Roadside Attractions
If you have traveled Michigan's highways and byways, chances are you've stopped at sites like Big John, the World's Largest Miner, near Iron Mountain; the Twin Towers in the Irish Hills; or any number of places—perhaps one that no longer exists—for amusement, to rest, to buy a souvenir or to have your picture taken. Michigan's Roadside Attractions looks at the fun, interesting, even quirky, places that travelers visit while on their way somewhere else. Exhibit opens January 10 and will be appearing through September 14, 2009, at the Michigan Historical Museum, Lansing.
