Apply for the Bridge Card (food stamps)?

Increases the food purchasing power of low-income households. Income standards differ if the household includes elderly or disabled people. Food stamp benefits decrease as income increases. In Fiscal year 2000, monthly Food stamp benefits averaged $65.68 per person per month. Benefits are now provided electronically through the Bridge Card (see #18) and may be accessed through the point of sale device at most grocery stores. Applications are available at the Department of Human Services office in each county. For the location in your county, click on: http://www.michigan.gov/dhs/1,1607,7-124-5461---,00.html.
